Crossing Bridges _ Interview With Lasse Buhl

Lasse Buhl _ Without Light

We should probably talk a little about the actual music before we go. I’m well aware of your work with Northern Structures of course, but when I heard the originals on your Echochord Colour release, I really wanted to find out more. I couldn’t find anything else by you, so do you have something scheduled for release soon?

I know! To be honest I had a long period where I didn’t want to release my own stuff. My earlier tracks were closely related to a period in my life where music production was like therapy to me. So tracks from that period will never get released I guess. But yes, there are some things in the pipeline for this year. Can’t say much about it right now but stay tuned 🙂

Are you getting to travel much DJ’ing yourself? You were talking about it a little before.,

It depends on how much ‘much’ is. Not enough to make a living from but enough to have the fun I need 🙂 I’m currently working on my solo live set and hopefully it will be ready soon.

And is there something coming up for NS on Sonic Groove soon as well? Think I saw some nice Facebook spam about it haha

Yes, our new EP ‘Crossing Bridges’ will be released any time now on Sonic Groove. I am really looking forward to this one!!!

Great.. I’ll keep an ear out for that and also your new material too. Thanks for the chat Lasse. Can’t wait for this mix now.

Music production and history are my biggest passions in life. Though people often say that Techno is faceless and should be about the music blah, blah, blah.. I believe in the need to document the people and stories behind it. Techno is a very small world in reality and I think it needs a proper resource. I hope that everyone who is interested in Techno finds this blog accessible in terms of the way that it is written. I personally prefer to hear the artists voice as loud as the music and never enjoy synopsised and pasteurised versions of old conversation; the sort that's peppered with the occasional quote here and there.
