subsekt Mixtape #1 _ Unsigned & Unreleased music
There are so many people on subsekt who are making good music that we decided it would be foolish not to ask everyone to send us a track for a compilation mix. The result is a selection of what we got & is a solid mix of unsigned skillz, standing shoulder to shoulder with emerging and established artists.
We were overwhelmed by both the amount and quality of the tracks that we received. Begrudgingly, Paul Spectrum agreed to keep the mix at an hour under the condition that we do another mixtape before the end of the year.
The subsekt mixtape # 1 _ Mixed by Nomad Spectrum was aired on Wed 17 April 2013 @ 2200GMT
Here it is in all it’s glory. Great job was done by Paul.

ARiFF
Coming from a small town in East-Flanders Belgium, ARiFF picked up the love for music from his parents. At the age of 12, he started creating XM music files with the help of software tools as Fasttracker & Propellerheads’ Rebirth. Once bitten by the music virus, he quickly started to explore different genres and setups to be able to express his love for the rhythm. Soon, his first synth was a fact and the tropical fever called beats were a major part of his daily life. Until today, ARiFF tries to translate emotions into music and rhythms using a wide palette of sounds from genres as Techno, Tech house, Ambient, Pop music & Rap/HipHop..
Although he doesnt have a degree in music science, his hearing and love for fine beats and lush synths is what makes him experiment around the giant musical universe…

Peter Gual
First making sounds with an Spectrum 128K and then using early Trackers. Peter was keen to express himself musically from an early age, learning to play the guitar and beginning to write his own songs. Listening to Sonic Youth, Ramones and a healthy fix of trash metal, Peter formed his own band in high school which without any great success still managed to give him an early taste for playing his music live. It was this important time in Peter’s teens that saw him hang up his guitar to explore the depths of 4/4 rhythms on his 486DX2 PC. Comparing the energy of techno to that of the bass and drums of a real live band, he combines industrial and tribal elements to escalating atmospheric sounds, often conveying a dark edge while retaining an infectious danceability.

His latest ep is out now on Toffler Music Entertainment and it’s called “Perturbation Stolidity”: five tracks of dark and fat techno.

The Binary Mind
The Binary Mind is a collaboration in techno between two music fanatics from Groningen, The Netherlands. It all started quite some years ago, when they teamed up as DJ’s (under different names), hosted a techno internet radio show for a couple of years and played together on events in their hometown.
When the radio period ended, more time came available to focus on creating music, rather than playing music. This resulted in what is now known as The Binary Mind, an act that brings pure, uncompromising techno.
In 2012 the first release was signed to the Dutch label Ambizi Records. Early in 2013, a followup on Italian label Impact Musique was released, and more will follow. Keep an eye on our profiles to check out new sounds.

Ross Alexander
My work has been played and supported by a whole range of artists and Djs too many to put in a list but includes the likes of Dave Clarke, Xhin, Adam X, Audio Injection, Iformat and many others.
I am now taking demos for my label which I run with Steven McDonagh, Forte Techno, you can e-mail us at forte@fortetechno.co.uk with download links to quality, finished 320’s (though they needn’t be mastered), really want to hear a consistent body of work for quality solo eps, remixes on eps are ok but would rather push quality original work. Underground techno only, not interested in poppy / tech housy stuff, or any cheese whatsovever! Quality not quantity and no zombies cheers 🙂

Twilitez
To make a very long story short: interested in electronic music for about 10 years now, started on DNB. Trying to stay up to date with everything worthwhile going on (its hard right now, which is a good thing). Been DJ’ing and producing for about 6 years with some empty spaces in between.
Ive been raised on Floyd and good 70’s jazz, and that kind of thing sticks around. That combined with some pretty extensive knowledge of what is happening in the electronic scene will be the driving force to what i put out in the near future.
I can gladly say that the times have never been more interesting then now, and i hope i can do my part.
Obviously you can use all downloads in a set, but if you can find the time to let me know about it that would be very much appreciated.
Im open for remixing anything good, drop a PM, i usually read them daily.
