Blawan _ Pogo @ The Twisted Pepper _ 12th Jan 2013 [Review]
Blawan brings Twisted Techno to the Twisted Pepper.
The 12th of January saw Pogo bring Jamie Roberts – aka Blawan – to a very happy, sold out Twisted Pepper crowd in Dublin.
Knowing that Blawan is one of the most promisingTechno producers at the moment, it would be pretty obvious to have high expectations as to what he was going to produce from his record bag. Yes – record bag!!
Indeed this man didn’t disappoint from the get go. The first hour of Blawan’s set was a blend of some quality Techno with him dropping “Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage”, (to my delight as this is one of my personal favorite Blawan tracks).
Most of you will be well aware that this track is far from tame, but when the clock struck 1:48am
Blawan seemed to crank it up a notch with some monstrous “bate the face off ya” Techno!
1:48am to 3:00am could only be described as hard as fuck, rocking Techno!
Anyways, Pogo have some heavy hitters lined up for the coming months ahead. I sure as hell will be there. If you haven’t gone there yet I’d strongly advise you to get down for a gig or two.
Expect a good crowd, a good atmosphere and top Techno DJ’s.
