Inigo’s reign sounds so good..
IK is back, this time with a taster of 2 tracks from his forthcoming ‘Vaudeville’ album on Token.
‘Lullaby’ is a fine piece of music, tugging at your heartstrings and doing that big epic thing that he does so well. On the flip, the broken beat vibe of ‘Petrichor’ increases the pace but is unreservedly as thoughtful and dreamy as it’s bedfellow. Lovely stuff.
It’s hard to believe that the whole Inigo / Token relationship has been going strong for 7 years. Just as surely as this time has flown by, Kennedy continues to guide his uniquely emotional music down increasingly gorgeous and abstract paths.
Can’t wait for the album now. On the basis of this, it may very well have a nice blend of his Asymmetric stuff and recent Techno releases. Looking forward.
Lullaby / Petrichor arrives on vinyl and digital on 14th April 2014.
Expect Vaudeville to land on 2nd June 2014.

Music production and history are my biggest passions in life.
Though people often say that Techno is faceless and should be about the music blah, blah, blah.. I believe in the need to document the people and stories behind it. Techno is a very small world in reality and I think it needs a proper resource.
I hope that everyone who is interested in Techno finds this blog accessible in terms of the way that it is written. I personally prefer to hear the artists voice as loud as the music and never enjoy synopsised and pasteurised versions of old conversation; the sort that's peppered with the occasional quote here and there.
