Don’t Believe The Hype _ Interview With Giles Armstrong
What about some of the tracks that are etched in your head, maybe from a couple of favourite sets that you enjoyed over the years? Would you mind giving me a few and maybe some background?
I danced [well tried] to this so much when I used to go The Temple Of Sound! It’s great to hear the likes of Surgeon still regularly play it in his sets.
Another Temple Of Sound favourite. It all went pretty downhill for Slam after this remix. This track always reminds me of one of best Irish DJ’s ever ever. Billy Scurry
Opened me up to a whole other world of sounds that unfortunately producers are still copying badly to this day.
There was no escaping from this tune when I started raving in Dublin and unlike other big tunes from that time like ‘Spastik’ or anything by Josh poxy Wink. Altered States has stood the test of time and then some!
When I realised that techno can make the hairs of the back of your neck stand up and weep with joy 🙂
I better mention this one seen as I have part of it’s waveform tattoo’d on my left leg!
