ad.lib & Silvision – Redout [GYNLTD004]

Finely tuned warehouse Techno from Switzerland’s finest.. supported by a mesmerising remix from Italy’s Ascion. Recommended.

ad.lib and Silvision have that wide open, gritty vibe right down and this expertise is evident again in their latest release – Redout, on Gynoid.

Several things stand out about the original for me. Firstly, the mechanical feedback  of the rhythm track is really cool and almost musique concrète in its construction, adding some nicely planned randomness to the track. You’ve also got to love the effective use different hats to control the intensity, which helps to relieve the pressure of that incessant hit at the start of each and every bar. Great groove.

Without a doubt, special mention has to go to Ascion’s amazing remix, which though recognisable as a child of the original, immediately establishes its own autonomy. Fucking class having such a quality remix on your release. I can see this one getting a lot of love.
