Pjotr G & Dubiosity _ Assembly Line EP [gynoidd080]

Industrial influenced dub from Pjotr G & Dubiosity, featuring a stand out remix from Velovr.

XED is a deep one with a lot of shit developing over that broken stomp. Even when it changes from a  broken kick to the more conventional 4/4 pattern, it’s driving groove still retains a degree of nice restriction. The big chord towards the end is a perfect sound.

Velovr’s remix of XED is great stuff. Completely stripped back to the basics, with a powerful and grinding groove.. it’s really a fantastic surprise. Like this track a lot!

Clangor is cool, but doesn’t really get going until the last section; which is a bit of a shame as those hi-res percussion hits deserved to be heard much earlier. Doka completes the package with a remix of Clangor, but it was always going to be hard to follow Velovr’s excellent job.

The 2 XED’s are definitely worth checking out.

Music production and history are my biggest passions in life. Though people often say that Techno is faceless and should be about the music blah, blah, blah.. I believe in the need to document the people and stories behind it. Techno is a very small world in reality and I think it needs a proper resource. I hope that everyone who is interested in Techno finds this blog accessible in terms of the way that it is written. I personally prefer to hear the artists voice as loud as the music and never enjoy synopsised and pasteurised versions of old conversation; the sort that's peppered with the occasional quote here and there.
